James Margolles - Co-founder and CEO

Since starting the company out of his garage at the age of 25, James’ mission has been to spread the word to as many businesses as possible that there is a better way to hydrate than purchasing bottled water.

“From humble beginnings and a pallet of 9 water coolers in my garage, to now thousands in the field, we have come a long way. I take pride having started out this way, from knocking on doors every day to now being able to take on more of leadership role within Island Pure.”

During his off time, he enjoys surfing, travel and spending time with his wife Katie and their two young children Savannah and Charlie.

Katie Margolles- Co-founder & CFO

Katie Margolles is Island Pure’s Co-founder and CFO. In 2006 Katie and her husband James started Island Pure out of their garage in the Florida Keys. Through hard work and dedication Island Pure has grown to serve all of South and Central Florida. When she’s not crunching numbers you’ll find Katie snorkeling, boating, hiking and traveling with her family.

Joe Cardenas - President

Joe joined Island Pure’s leadership team in 2021 and brings leadership and a wealth of knowledge.

Joe’s most recent experience has been as Founder/CEO of Aquaco. One of Florida’s largest warm-water marine recirculating aquaculture systems raising Florida Pompano. Prior to starting Aquaco, Joe oversaw commercial, business banking and retail operations in southeast Florida with 3 banks spanning 17 years.

A committed leader with an interest in both business and education, Joe has served several organizations including Discover The Palm Beaches (Chairman), Autism Project of Palm Beach County, Economic Council of Palm Beach County and is a graduate of Leadership Florida.

Joe currently resides in Palm Beach County with his wife Katherine of 20 years and their two children Jack and Sara.

Kyle Mauro- Operations Manager

Kyle has been with the company for over 5 years. He started out doing Warehouse inventory, but quickly got his feet wet in other aspects of the company. Kyle quickly moved into service roles, logistics, and even dabbles in some sales from time to time. After helping the team get prepared for the day each morning, he works on his various projects ranging from customer relations to in-house accounting.

Life doesn’t slow down after work though. Kyle enjoys pushing his limits each year with Spartan Races and going on vacations with his wife. He loves playing tennis, watching hockey and going to dance festivals. Who knows what next year has in store!?

Carlos Pinzon - Service Manager

With over ten years at Island Pure, Carlos has vast amounts of experience helping our clients with their technical questions. With a specific focus on installation, troubleshooting, coordination, Carlos uses his experience to educate and spread the knowledge of our products

When he’s not at island Pure, Carlos is an avid video music producer and loves spending time with his dogs in the great outdoors, also he likes to research, networking, web developing and DJing.

Angel Gomez - Service technician

Angel takes pride and joy in working with such great people. As well as meeting and help our valued customers.
